Announcing a new tradition

Our Annual Fundraising Gala2026

An Evening for the Next Generation

  • Saturday, November 28, 2026
  • Empire Event Center · Dallas
  • 5:00 PM
  • Cocktail Attire

Two years ago, we gathered to honor Tombossa Negusse and launch a foundation in his name. This year, we celebrate what that legacy has already built: scholars like Mattania, Elim, and Kaleb, and a community investing in the next generation of Eritrean and East African youth.

Join us for an evening of dinner, music, a silent auction, and words from the students your support makes possible. Every ticket helps fund scholarships and mental wellness programs.

Our Story

Why We Gather

Tombossa Negusse fled war in Eritrea as a teenager, earned his degrees in Oklahoma, and built a life in Dallas defined by family, enterprise, and generosity. He and his wife, Birkiti, dreamed of opening doors for young people in our community. Two years ago, we launched this foundation to carry that dream forward. Today, our first scholars are in college, and we're just getting started.
